For the Sofitel Hotel Riyadh project,Saudi artist Dalal Al Hassan created a statement piece that brings together references to the Agal and Layla palm mat, incorporating fan-like forms and traditional khous weaving. The composition reinterprets these Saudi cultural references through the silhouette of Dior’s iconic fan dress, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion influences to create a work that feels both rooted in heritage and distinctly modern.
