Capsule Arts Wins Best Local Craft Integration for The Luxury Collection Hotel Bab Samhan

We’re proud to share that The Luxury Collection Hotel Bab Samhan has been awarded Best Local Craft Integration at the CID Hospitality Awards 2026, recognising its thoughtful approach to embedding traditional craftsmanship and cultural storytelling within a contemporary hospitality setting.

A newly introduced category this year, the award celebrates projects that meaningfully highlight local craft and heritage. Bab Samhan was recognised for its close collaboration with artisans and craftsmen, bringing together heritage techniques and modern design language to create a space that feels deeply rooted in place.

The project reflects Capsule Arts’ continued commitment to working with makers and artists to preserve and reinterpret cultural identity through design. From material choices to handcrafted details throughout the hotel, each element contributes to a layered guest experience that connects contemporary hospitality with regional craft traditions.

Alongside this win, Kimpton KAFD Riyadh was also recognised at the CID Hospitality Awards, receiving a Highly Commended distinction in the Best Use of Art in Hotel Project category. Following its earlier win at the CID Saudi Awards in February, the project continues to be acknowledged for its curated integration of contemporary art within hospitality, and its role in shaping a culturally responsive guest experience in Riyadh.

Together, these recognitions highlight Capsule Arts’ ongoing focus on collaboration between artists, designers, and craftsmen, and the role of art and craft in shaping meaningful hospitality environments across the region.
