Capsule Arts Wins Best Use of Art in Design for Kimpton KAFD Riyadh
We’re proud to share that Capsule Arts has been awarded Best Use of Art in Design at the CID Saudi Awards 2026 for our work on Kimpton KAFD Riyadh. Announced on Commercial Interior Design’s official winners list, The award recognizes a project that seamlessly integrates contemporary artistic expression with the Kimpton brand’s lifestyle ethos, creating a culturally resonant and distinctly modern guest experience.
Located in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District, the art collection was curated and developed by Capsule Arts Studio to reflect the dynamic energy of Saudi Arabia’s capital while honouring its rich heritage.
As IHG’s first Kimpton property in the Middle East, the hotel integrates art as a guiding narrative, drawing from Riyadh’s identity as an oasis shaped by geology, growth and cultural memory. The collection translates these references through material honesty and contemporary expression, creating a layered guest journey that unfolds from arrival through to private spaces. From sculptural focal moments like the Desert Rose and Coral installations to quieter, more contemplative works across guest rooms and corridors, each piece contributes to a cohesive experience inspired by natural formations, heritage symbols and the evolving character of the city.
Each artwork was carefully integrated into the interior design, creating moments of discovery throughout the space and enhancing the guest experience. Balancing Saudi, regional and international artists, the collection celebrates a dialogue between tradition and modernity while placing local narratives at its core.
