Gastronomy is a buffet-style restaurant at Atlantis the Royal, that draws inspiration from the vibrant and diverse food markets around the world. Here, diners can indulge in an array of live cooking stations featuring fresh, farm-to-table produce. Designed with an 'all-day dining' audience in mind, we set out to create a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere that embodied the bustling energy of a marketplace.

To achieve this, we employed big, bold, colourful graphic art that created a sense of fun and playfulness. This artwork also served as a clever wayfinding tool, guiding diners to the various food stations scattered throughout the restaurant. For artwork, we brought the space alive with an explosion of creativity, all of which echoed the traditional marketplace theme. Throughout the space are chalkboards with illustrations by artist Lama Khatib Daniel, of food and drink fashioned in a style reminiscent of artistic greengrocer or butcher shop signs.
