Sofitel Hotel, Riyadh, KSA
For the Sofitel Hotel Riyadh project, renowned Saudi artist Zaman Jassim created a contemporary relief artwork installed within the reception area. Drawing on Arabic calligraphy, Jassim used precision laser-cut techniques to layer and shape dense calligraphic compositions, creating a sense of depth and movement across the surface. The combination of plaster and paint adds texture and tactility to the work, while its resemblance to traditional Naskh stone carvingsconnects the piece to Arabic craftsmanship and heritage through a contemporary lens.
